According to the Blast former Love and Hip Hop star Stevie J is ready to settle his divorce with Faith Evan’s and move on.
According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Stevie filed a declaration of disclosure in the former couple’s divorce case.
This is an important step in an ongoing divorce case, basically acknowledging that one side has given all of their financial information to the other.
In most cases, this is a good indicator that the case is going to settle soon.
Stevie J filed the documents this week in Los Angeles County Courts.
Just a few weeks ago, Stevie was ordered to turn over a Mercedes Sprinter van that his singer ex-wife reported stolen.
According to reports, SJ took the family vehicle to Coachella and didn’t have “permission” from his wife.
She demanded immediate possession of the vehicle, claiming she paid for the car with $164,000 in cash.
On April 12, 2023, she claimed after she fell asleep, Stevie took the keys and headed to the festival in Palm Desert, CA with the Mercedes van.
At the time, she filed a police report saying the car had been stolen, and a judge ordered the car be returned.
“The insurance policy does not cover [Stevie], and he is unauthorized to drive,” the original document stated.
The former couple battled over financial support too — with Stevie J demanding spousal support payments and money from Evans.
Shockingly, the two music icons did NOT sign a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot.
This is highly unlikely considering they both have money and royalties in the music business.
Back in 2020, the relationship hit a rock bottom point, after Faith was arrested on a domestic violence charge after someone called the police to report a physical altercation.
Police officers rushed to the couple’s Los Angeles home, and they allegedly “discovered marks on Stevie’s body” and arrested Evans.
The case was dropped after Stevie refused to testify in criminal court.
Interestingly, the couple attempted to reconcile following the divorce, after Stevie publicly announced he wanted Faith back as his wife.
“Faith Rene Jordan I’ve hurt you, disrespected you, and humiliated you in front of the world. From this day forward I promise to listen to your feelings and be more delicate with your heart,”
“I also promise to build you up even more & to communicate daily with you, respect you, and love on you until you’re as happy as you were when we got married.”
Stevie J said he had “learned his lesson” and said it plainly,
“God knows I’m a better man with you and I’m asking you to find it in your heart to forgive me and allow me to rebuild our trust.”
In most cases, the final settlement of the divorce will be done in private, and eventually filed with the court.
