Hoda please! The Today Show continues to push a non existent narrative about dressing rooms.
According to Page Six Breaking news out of Studio 1A: The beleaguered “Today” show dressing rooms are finally getting a makeover.
“We are [upgrading them]!” Hoda Kotb revealed to Page Six exclusively at the fifth anniversary celebration of her co-host Jenna Bush Hager’s book club, Read with Jenna, at Bibliotheque in New York City on Thursday.
“We have four words for you: lipstick on a pig,” Bush Hager jokingly chimed in. “Just some wallpaper, some nice fake flowers.”
Last month, the NBC morning show’s dressing rooms came under scrutiny when Page Six exclusively reported that Kelly Rowland had walked off the set because hers was not up to par.
This was later debunked by a rep in Kelly’s camp.
We reported that an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap that
“Kelly was offended that Savannah repeatedly and aggressively asked her about Beyoncé,” which was the real reason behind the walk-off.
“The story was spun that Kelly didn’t like her dressing room, but she has been on the ‘Today’ show numerous times, she and her team know the dressing room set up. That would not come as a surprise at all,” the individual said. “Kelly was upset about Savannah’s aggressive questioning about Beyoncé. She and her team were not happy and felt disrespected.”
