Recently we shared the great news that Keke Wyatt is expecting her 11th child with her husband, Zackariah David Darring.
During an emotional performance at the City Winery on March 13th, 2022 Keke, tearfully revealed that her unborn baby has the genetic disorder Trisomy 13.
Keke was singing a gospel song when she shared a little bit about her story.
She shared a little about her son singing “When the doctors told me that my son Rajjah had Leukemia cancer …i said Hallelujah.”
Then she revealed that doctors warned her about her unborn child, saying the child has Trisomy 13, a rare chromosomal disorder in which all or a portion of chromosome 13 appears three times.
She sang, “And recently I found out the doctor says my baby has Trisomy 13….”

According to Pubmed – The mean survival in Trisomy-13-syndrome patients is reported to be 130 days.
We have diagnosed 21 cases of this syndrome in this institution (11 females and 10 males); 15 patients had regular trisomy 13 and 6 had translocation-trisomy 13 karyotypes.
The mean survival of the 19 patients who died was 97.05 days; translocation patients survived longer than regular trisomy patients.
The oldest living patients with trisomy 13 are a girl 19 and a boy 11 years old. Both are black, have regular trisomy 13 karyotypes, and have had most of the manifestations of the syndrome.
No mosaicism was detected in repeated cytogenetic studies. The 19-year-old patient is the oldest known living person with regular trisomy 13.
With that said, the doctors just warned of the disorder there is a glimmer of hope that they could be wrong.
Praying for Keke, the baby, and her family.
