In an emotional Instagram Live, Lizzo spoke directly about dealing with haters and mean comments directed at her, and around her.
The singer just dropped the visual to her new song Rumors and of course, with all the attention, there are always a few who try to get under your skin.
In the video, Lizzo says that most times she doesn’t care about the comments but there are times, especially when she is working hard that her patience is low and the comments get to her.

On Twitter she wrote:
Loving yourself in a world that don’t love u back takes an incredible amount of self-awareness & a bullshit detector that can see through ass backwards societal standards…
if u managed to love yourself today I’m proud of u.
If u haven’t, I’m still proud of u. This shits hard

One Twitter user called out hypocrisy:

Despite the negativity, Lizzo’s tweet sparked an outpouring of support, like this one from Chloe Bailey:

and this from Cardi:
When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive. When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you.Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table. https://t.co/jE5eJw8XP6

and:
Please remember that people on social media are not real relationships. These are not the people who have always loved you unconditionally and will also care about you. Many of the people trolling you don’t even love themselves.
