Lori Harvey has responded to a critic who raised concerns about the name of her upcoming swimwear brand, Yevrah Swim.
The brand’s name drew attention due to its resemblance to her brother’s former footwear company, also called Yevrah.
However, Harvey has clarified the name’s origins and the story behind its use.
On Monday, the 26-year-old unveiled her latest business venture, Yevrah Swim, a swimwear brand set to launch exclusively with Revolve.
In response to the announcement, an Instagram user questioned the choice of name.
“Doesn’t your brother own a footwear company called Yevrah?? Couldn’t think of an original name?
According to People, Lori had her response ready:
“He used to, not anymore. I asked if I could revive and rebrand the name and he gave me his blessing.”

Before the official launch, Lori Harvey teased her upcoming swimwear collection through an Instagram carousel.
One image featured her sporting a green bikini top and white bottoms while striking a pose on what appeared to be a boat.
Another photo showcased her in an orange bikini adorned with body jewelry.
Harvey tagged Yevrah Swim in both instances, creating anticipation for the forthcoming release.
The connection to family remains evident in the Harvey siblings’ business ventures.
In a June 2016 episode of The Steve Harvey Show, Jason Harvey discussed the inception of his footwear company.
He revealed that “Yevrah” is “Harvey” spelled backward.
“The truth about the name is, it’s only Harvey spelled backward. So, it’s keeping it in the family, of course.”
Lori Harvey’s launched her brand, SKN by LH, in October 2021, and she had nothing but praise for her mom.
“My mom still has the most beautiful skin. I was always obsessed with how glowy her skin was, and I just wanted to always replicate that. I would get into her products when she would leave the house or be asleep and just try to redo what I saw her do.”
Lori Harvey’s journey in establishing her brand has been fulfilling.
“To finally have launched it, received the feedback that I’ve been getting, you know, people are loving it, everyone’s trying it. It’s really like a bittersweet moment for me because this is something that I’ve been dreaming about since I was a little girl.”
