Michelle Ntalami has come out guns blazing in response to the viral incident she had with Real Housewives of Nairobi star Minne Cayy.
In a poignant Instagram post on Wednesday (March 29), the Marini Naturals CEO vehemently condemned women shaming other women on social media – especially during a month when Queens should be celebrating and lifting each other.
According to Ms. Ntalami, Minne crossed the line when she aggrandized drama online, profited off their beef with merchandising, and took the attacks to National TV and Radio.
“At which point do we draw the line between entertainment and showbiz, and real-life personal attacks and cyberbullying?” she wrote.
“I kept silent, but lines were crossed. The back-to-back insults, aggrandizing the drama online, profiting off it with merchandising, going as far as taking the attacks to National TV and Radio, coming for my bag and brand, body shaming other women online, hurling insults and profanity? Not me. You cross my boundaries. I remind you yours,” she continued.
By the nature of the show (Real Housewives of Nairobi), Ntalami believes on-screen drama is fantastic. However, she draws the line when cast members go out of their way to attack each other on social media. Drama should remain on the show, not trickling down to people’s personal lives.
“…cast members are NOT meant to attack each other online,” she said.
“Letting grown women tear each other down on social media is wrong. Allowing them to go on National Media to defame another is wrong. Attempting to demean one’s brand that they’ve painstakingly built is wrong.”
“Drama on the show should remain on the show. Not getting mean, messy and personal in real life. That’s a dirty game. I don’t imagine any contract or company would support this,” the business icon added.
She then called upon women to support each other and even joked about “synergizing skills” with the hustler Queen, Ms. Minne Cayy.
“On a month where we are meant to be celebrating women, it’s giving womanhood and femininity such a bad rap. How about online, we show efforts of these women patching things up, supporting and uplifting each other, then take that back into the show? Let’s change the narrative.”
She added:
“On a lighter note, how about we synergize skills; I teach you Shakespeare-level writing, you teach me how to be a ‘hustler?’ Even after building an eight-figure, international award-winning, CNBC Listed, Forbes-recognized Global Haircare brand, I guess I could still learn a thing or two from you.”

Ntalami’s beef with Minne Cayy started during a moneyed party organized by the Posh Queen Susan Kaittany. Things turned chaotic after Minne claimed she’d never seen or met Michelle Ntalami.
“Literally, I don’t know this woman. She’s lying. I just see her,” Minne said in a confessional.
“We write cheques, and she writes her Instagram posts,” she added. A statement that has since gone viral.

In defense, Ntalami told Word Is that she never pretends to like people with bad vibes and that keeping a fake image on social media is not for her.
“I won’t act like we are besties, so people should expect authenticity. When I am hurt, I am. When I am happy, I am. I have a good amount of coins in my bank, and that is who I am,” she said.
