Quavo is going back to school already has the College picked out.
The rapper, whose real name is Quavious Keyate Marshall, told Vibe Magazine that he plans to enroll at the University of Georgia in his hometown of Athens sometime next year.
In his interview with VIBE he explained that he teamed up with Lids Hat Drop and ’47 to release two “rare” snapback hats homaging the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
The limited-edition collab features the back-to-back Playoff champion Bulldogs’ logos, with new flair added by Qua.
“Next year, I’m going to enroll myself into University of Georgia. I’m going to be a student on campus,” he excitedly revealed. Speaking to raising the morale on campus, not only did Quavo suggest the Bulldogs turn up to his album single, “Who Wit Me” before games, but also foreshadowed, “I want to see everybody at the University of Georgia have this hat. These hats are rare. This hat is a one-of-a-kind, and it’s done by me.”
“I’m from Athens, you know what I’m saying? I love UGA to the fullest. I just want everybody to rep this hat and put it on their head, because we ain’t capping about our rap. We coming hard this year and we going three-peat.”
Quavo’s support for education and sports doesn’t stop at UGA. The rapper already has his Rocket Foundation, Quavo Cares and Huncho Sports, which all encourage higher-education and extracurricular activities.
“With the Rocket Foundation, Quavo Cares – I most definitely want to help kids out,” he expressed. “Right now I got Huncho Sports, Team Huncho and Huncho Elite.
I got kids playing football and basketball, so hopefully we get these guys in schools and get them some scholarships, and hopefully they’ll be playing for one of these teams out here.”
