Drake’s home was compromised again.
This time, Vibe reported that authorities arrested someone trying to enter the rapper’s Toronto residence.
Cops arrived at the scene on Wednesday around 2 pm.
A police spokesperson revealed to Toronto’s CityNews:
“The person was apprehended under the Mental Health Act.”
This incident happened only one day after one of the rapper’s security guards was shot outside Drake’s home.
The incident was a drive-by shooting, and the suspect fled in a car before the police could arrive.
Could The Incidents Be Connected To Drake’s Beef With Kendrick?
Fans’ first instinct was to connect the incidents with the rapper’s intense feud with Kendrick Lamar.
One of Kendrick’s songs, “Not Like Us,” shows the Canadian rapper’s home in the cover art.
Although this isn’t the rapper’s first home invasion, the timing of it is the problem.
Toronto Police Duty Inspector Paul Krawczyk announced it’s too soon to link the incident to Drake’s ongoing beef.
Additionally, The Weeknd’s manager’s security guard was shot last week in LA.
Three hooded men broke into the Amastoy Estates in Encino, California, and shot the security guard the moment they encountered him.
The guard was quickly rushed to hospital.
The Weeknd has been part of this ongoing beef–he appeared on Metro Boomin and Future’s recent albums We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You.
