Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) Season 15 is just four episodes in, but things are already looking bleak even before we’ve reached the halfway mark.
According to RadarOnline, the current season of RHOA has been struggling to resonate with viewers, and sources say some of the cast are worried about potential removal from the show due to poor ratings.
RHOA Season 15 premiered on May 7 to 834,000 viewers and a key demo rating of 0.28. However, by May 14, only 738,000 viewers tuned in, and in the latest episode, aired on May 28, the viewership dropped further to 657,000.
Insiders with knowledge of the situation reveal that the RHOA cast is well aware of the exceptionally low ratings. “They are worried Bravo will pull a recast on them as they did to the cast of The Real Housewives of New York,” a source told Radar Online.
“None of them feel safe, even Kandi.”
Bravo cleaned house last year on Real Housewives of New York (RHONY) by removing all the main cast members. The network proceeded to recast the entire show and placed a select few OG cast members on a spin-off series, where they’re paid substantially less.
Last season, RHOA averaged around 950,000 viewers per episode. In season 13, the show was pulling about 1.25 million viewers weekly.
During its sixth and seventh seasons, when reality show icon NeNe Leakers was still part of the cast, RHOA maintained a steady average of approximately 3 million viewers per week.
The current cast includes Drew Sidora, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Marlo Hampton, Sanya Richard-Ross, and Sheree Whitfield. The friends include Ne-Yo’s ex, Monyetta Shaw-Carter, and Courtney Rhodes.
Now RHOA fans have been taking jabs at the show (plus the cast), claiming the storylines have been yawn-inducing:
They should be worried. It’s just not good. I think Nene put that Color Purple hex on it. pic.twitter.com/DRrM1YGn7f

I’ll admit it, and I’m never the one to admit this but, Marlo is “trying” to keep this season up float. Hate her (I do) but without her this season, this would been a disastrous snooze fest. ??♂️ I can give her pass this time .

Bring Shamari, Tanya, Phadrea back. Let go Sheree, Marlo and Sonya. Let Kandi and Kenya stay just for transitional purposes. Add Monyetta and keep Drew (for now). Add Porsha back. Porsha might be hard to film as she will not want to include her marriage into the story.

We need time and a moment to rethink this ,even us twitter casting are shocked ???by the ratings! We need a new production team, and 4 new girls ,a cast of 7 to 8 and we need them to be friends!!!!!

and
do ratings even matter now genuinely? cuz a lot of ppl don’t use cable anymore & it’s just more convenient to stream, I know for some shows Bravo in particular goes by social media attention vs ratings like it holds more, however Porsha & Cyn added & demote Marlo & add a newbie ?
