Actress, singer, and songwriter Ryan Destiny recently did a photoshoot with AB+DM Studio and it literally took our breath away. Her hair was done by Miles Jeffrie and she was styled by Scot Loui.

Her make up was absolutely flawless, done by La Based makeup artist Ivan Nunez:
In an interview with Teen Vogue Ryan shared that she understood the importance of visibility, especially as a dark-skinned actress.

Part of Ryan’s journey has been about realizing the importance of visibility. She’s fully cognizant of what it means to be a dark-skinned actress in an industry that rarely rewards women with darker skin tones.
She admits to having insecurities into her late teen years, but the self-love she developed informs her confidence in life, work, and relationships.
“I grew up feeling like that [insecurity] should have been gone, but it wasn’t. And I didn’t realize [I still had] a problem, [up until] maybe around 18, 19,” she says.
“I think it was just me really starting to understand and love myself and understand the void that was in the industry, and that something needed to be done about it.
I just realized I had a responsibility, and then knowing that and feeling I had a purpose gave me a bit more confidence in what I was doing.”
This photoshoot is just one example of how much Ryan understands the assignment.
