It is now pretty clear that Teyana Taylor wanted to keep her divorce under wraps for the sake of her family but not everyone was on the same page.
The multi talented artist took to her Instagram to express her disappointment that someone would deliberately take a private matter and make it public.
To be clear, in many places, divorce documents are considered public records, meaning they can be accessed by the public upon request.
In an effort to ‘hide’ her documents in plain sight Teyana chose to use her initials and Iman’s initials through out her paperwork however when Iman responded he used their full names.
In her statement Teyana made it clear that she has not spoken to the media about anything and protecting her privacy has been her priority.

There has been some confusion about her original statement about her separation from Iman, at that time she made it clear that infidelity was not a factor in their divorce proceedings.
A few months ago she said:
AHT AHT! Not too much on my bestie! In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while. To be 1000% clear, “infidelity” ain’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children. Most importantly we are FAMILY & in the 10yrs together, 7yrs married we ain’t ever played with or about THAT. We just keep y’all asses out the group chat lol, which is the reason we’ve been able to successfully & peacefully separate without all of the outside noise. The only reason I’m even sharing THIS part of the chat is because the narratives are getting a little out of hand & it’s unfair to all parties involved. I hope this provided some clarity for y’all. However in the documents details were provided about Iman’s alleged involvement in “multiple cheating scandals”.
The paperwork also referenced Iman as a narcissist who caused Teyana to “intentionally dim her light for her husband to try to have a harmonious and peaceful marriage” as Iman “became more and more angry” about her stardom.
