Tina Knowles has come to Beyonce’s defense after accusations that the iconic singer is lightening her hair and skin to appear white.
According to TMZ, Tina has had enough of the negativity.
She took to social media to react to fan comments about her daughter’s appearance at the premiere of the Renaissance movie.
Tina referred to her daughter’s platinum blonde hair and lighter skin color–some fans even accused the star of bleaching herself.

Tina insists these accusations are racist, self-hating, stupid, and ignorant.
She added that it saddens her when Black people continue the stupid narrative with jealousy and hate.
According to Tina, her daughter “wore silver hair to match her silver dress as a fashion statement.”
She added that the movie premiere’s theme was silver, so her daughter dressed the part.
Tina insisted that people who accused the Renaissance star of trying to look white are jealous “sad little haters.”
Tina reminded the haters that Black celebrities have worn platinum hair for decades, since the era of Etta James.
“I just went and looked at all the beautiful talented black celebrities who have worn platinum hair and it has been just about everyone of them at one time or another. Are they all trying to be white.”
