According to TMZ Tina Turner and her family have just suffered another devastating loss, her son Ronnie has died.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they received a 911 call Thursday morning from a person who said Ronnie was outside their home and having a hard time breathing. A few minutes later, he wasn’t breathing at all.
Paramedics rushed to the San Fernando Valley address — where bystanders were attempting CPR — but the efforts didn’t work, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s currently unclear what led to Ronnie’s medical emergency, but we know he’s had health issues for years, including cancer.
According to The Daily Mail, Police were said to be first called to Ronnie’s home Thursday morning, when a person — presumably his wife, Afida — called to report that he was struggling to breathe outside their Los Angeles home.
Paramedics then rushed to the home in San Fernando Valley, where they found bystanders attempting CPR.
But their efforts ultimately failed, and Ronnie was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Friday, Afida posted a tribute to her late-husband, whom she called a ‘true angel’ with a ‘huge soul who is ‘highly spiritual.’
She said he was her ‘best friend, my baby,’ while she was ‘your mummy, your nurse.’
‘Love you for this 17 years,’ Afida wrote, adding: ‘This is very, very, very bad, I am very mad.
‘This is a tragedy, [you] with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline,’ she continued as she wished he would ‘rest in Paradise.’
‘So unfair,’ she concluded.
It was back in 2018 when Tina’s oldest son, Craig, died by suicide. Tina gave birth to Craig before she met Ike, but he adopted Craig once they wed.
As for Ronnie, he too made a name for himself in Hollywood — as an actor in “What’s Love Got to Do With It” in the ’90s and he starred along side his mother in her 1993 biopic What’s Love Got To Do With It, which told the story of her life.
