Wendy Williams is incapacitated, according to her guardian, and their decision was to sell her dream penthouse at a loss.
According to the New York Post, the guardian sold the penthouse on May 10, several years after the TV host bought it.
The sale is also the latest in Wendy’s legal and personal troubles after her 2023 diagnosis of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
Wendy Williams’ Guardian Is Making The Decisions For Her

59-year-old Wendy Williams’ guardian has taken over her decision-making processes.
They sold Williams’ treasured penthouse for $3.75 million–making a loss of $822,000 from its higher July 2021 purchase price.
An insider shared their thoughts on Williams’ current situation.
“Wendy’s dream has always been to live in Manhattan in a dream apartment but never got a chance to do so. It is a very unfortunate situation.”
Before the sale, Williams sold all her personal belongings in the penthouse.
Meanwhile, she was dealing with over $500,000 in unpaid taxes, which led to a federal tax lien.
The New York condo was affected by this lien.
Williams might relocate to Los Angeles, but it remains uncertain.
“She was asking how to sell her stuff with ‘The Real Real,’ but I don’t think she’s actually moving to Los Angeles. She seems so unwell.”
