Tip 5 – Protective styles
I would be fooling myself if I said that manipulating my hair every day would not affect my hair retention. It absolutely does and if I want to see more length my styles have to match that goal. You do not have to wear wigs or cornrows 24-7 but the lower the manipulation the more length you will retain!
Tip 6 – Scalp massages with healthy oils
Oil mixes with oils like peppermint oil, lavender oil, olive oil can be used to massage the scalp and encourage growth. Scalp massages can be done 3- 5 times a week and the extra circulation from the movement of your fingers can cause growth spurts.
Tip 7 – Scalp health
Keep your scalp clean and free of gunk that will inhibit your follicles from pushing the hair out. If you have scalp conditions, focus on them with your medical practitioner who will recommend the best options for your case. Your scalp is the foundation for hair growth and hair health so take care of it.
Tip 8 – Hair vitamins
I am not a hair vitamin person so to speak but I do know that there are benefits to taking one. You will get nutrients that you are otherwise missing from your diet. I would definitely talk to a doctor before taking anything just to make sure the vitamin is right for you.
Tip 9 – Focus and consistency
When you focus on your goals you will get closer to achieving them, so if hair growth is your goal focus on it. Build a regimen and stick with it. Stick with products that work and styles that cause the least amount of damage. Hair growth is almost guaranteed if you are a healthy person so that is half of the problem solved! A consistent regimen is what helps with retention.
Tip 10 – Mindset
Speak positively about your hair, be obsessive not about growth but about how healthy and beautiful it is. When you speak positively you can arrange your circumstances to fit your goals, so vibrate higher and love your hair, growth will come!
