If you thought that Ayesha Curry’s main claim to fame is being married to NBA star Steph Curry, you’d be hugely mistaken.
Ayesha made her fortune her way, and with her business skills, she’ll probably be handling Steph’s investments once he retires.
So, let’s learn how Ayesha Curry became a multimillionaire!
Acting Roles
After graduating high school, Ayesha Curry left her hometown to go to LA and become an actress.
Ayesha got minor roles in:
- Dan’s Detour of Life (2008)
- 10 Items or Less (2008)
- Love for Sale (2008)
- Underground Street Flippers (2009)
- Hannah Montana (2009)
- Good Luck Charlie (2010)
- Charming (2018)
However, Ayesha never got the kind of role she needed to kick off her acting career.
But this didn’t keep her down.
In 2017, Ayesha became a host of “The Great American Baking Show.”
And in 2019, she was the host and executive producer of “Family Food Fight.”
Culinary Career
After getting married to Steph Curry in 2011, Ayesha started a food blog.
Sometime later, Ayesha started a food-based YouTube channel that drew Food Network’s interest.
The network worked with Ayesha to release a show, “Ayesha’s Homemade,” which followed her personal and professional life.
The show lasted for two seasons with 13 total episodes, but the network canceled it.
Another failure, but Ayesha showed her mettle by refusing to let frustration overcome her.
In 2016, Ayesha released her first cookbook, “The Seasoned Life,” where she shared 100 recipes.
Ayesha Curry also launched a company, Little Lights of Mine.
Through the company, she sold a signature brand of olive oil.
And still, in 2016, Ayesha teamed up with chef Michael Mina in a Bay Area pop-up restaurant called The Mina Test Kitchen of International Smoke.
They opened another pop-up restaurant in 2019.
After seeing the success of this venture, Ayesha launched a meal-kit delivery service called Homemade; and in 2019, she turned Homemade into a retail store pop-up.
But Ayesha wasn’t done.
In 2021, she founded Sweet July, a lifestyle brand with its product line, magazine, and brick-and-mortar store.
Endorsements
In 2017, Ayesha became the first spokesperson for CoverGirl, who wasn’t a singer or actress.
Real Estate
Ayesha owns several properties with her husband.
In 2019, they splashed $31 million on a Bay Area residence; this set the record as the prestigious Bay Area’s largest residence purchase.

Ayesha Curry has had ups and downs in her career.
