The Woman King director, Gina Prince-Bythewood, is set to direct Tomi Adeyemi’s hit novel, Children of Blood and Bone.

Paramount Pictures Outbid Everyone To Nab The Rights To Tomi Adeyemi’s Trilogy

Paramount Pictures has pushed to make the adaptation a reality since they bought the rights to the trilogy in a 2022 bidding war.
Multiple other studios had shown interest in the project, including Netflix, Amazon, and Universal Pictures.
However, Paramount’s offer was the most lucrative as it gave Adeyemi various incentives like creative approval, a guaranteed theatrical release, and a seven-figure screenwriting guarantee.
The Senior Vice President of Production, Mika Pryce, will oversee the production on behalf of Paramount.
When it debuted, Adeyemi’s Children of Blood and Bone was an instant New York Times bestseller.
Its sequel also debuted at number 1, and the final book in the trilogy looks set to repeat the feat when it releases next year.
This Is Gina Prince-Bythewood’s Chance To Bring Another Franchise To The Big Screen

Gina Prince-Bythewood is doubtless relishing the chance to add another major feature to her already-impressive filmography, which includes:
- The Old Guard
- The Woman King
- The Secret Life of Bees
- Love & Basketball
If Prince-Bythewood’s adaptation is anything like her other features, we’ll be in for a good time.
