Coi Leray Braids are simply jumbo knotless braids with curly ends. The style has a signature middle part and can have anywhere between 6-16 braids with a few tendrils here and there for a little razzle-dazzle.
They are inspired by Coi Leray herself an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who started her career on Soundcloud after quitting her job.
Her music is pretty popular but her signature hairstyle has been making its rounds on social media and YouTube.
If you want to try Coi Leray Braids here is what you will need:
1. Rat tail comb
2. Shining Jam (if you are using braiding hair)
3. Braiding hair
4. perm rods
How To Do Coi Leray Braids with braiding hair
Start off with stretched clean natural hair and start sectioning your hair from the back. You will need a rat tail comb and shining jam to help you section and part your hair neatly.
If you start from the back you can separate the back into three large sections, combing the shining throughout the top section of your natural hair.
Start your braid with your real hair first then add braiding hair as you go along the braid for a knotless look.
You want the braid to be medium thick, so add enough braiding hair to create that look.

How to do Coi Leray Braids on your hair
If you want to do Coi Leray braids on your hair the process is similar to the above, however, skip the added hair and you can also skip the Shine Jam as well.
As usual, start off on stretched clean deep conditioned hair and separate your hair into 6-10 sections.
To each section add your favorite moisturizer, sealant, and finally a gel or holding product before you start to braid.
Ensure to add moisture and gel to your ends and add a perm rod to help the hair keep its shape.
Repeat for all sections and allow to air dry or you can sit under a dryer.
