Kelly Rowland might have broken our hearts.
It’s no secret that rumors have been running wild on a Destiny’s Child reunion–especially to commemorate the iconic girl group’s 25th anniversary of their debut album.
But, according to Vibe, Rowland burst our bubble by revealing there’s no truth to these rumors.
“[With] Bey wrapping up Renaissance and getting ready for her movie, Michelle in the thick of her solo projects that she’s doing, and me in my solo space and all the things that I’m doing, that’s where my head is.”
Despite Her Revelation, Kelly Rowland Acknowledges The Energy Around Destiny’s Child
“There’s so much energy around DC right now. That’s where my heart is. That’s what I’m most excited about, with all due respect to Destiny’s Child. And should there be a space for that, we’ll see what happens. But as for right now, I’m so excited as to what I’m doing.”
The singer has been showcasing her diversity by featuring in films and TV.
She was a significant part of last year’s The Curse of Bridge Hollow, had a guest-starring role on Grown-ish this year, and will feature in Lifetime’s Merry Liddle Holiday.
But hope is not lost.
Despite working on her projects, Kelly Rowland didn’t say there’s no chance of a Destiny’s Child reunion happening.
So, fingers crossed that we’ll see a reunion of the legendary girl group sooner rather than later.
