Before we get into Lisa Raye’s opinion, here is a little context.
Ari Fletcher full name Ariana Fletcher is a social media influencer and YouTuber and girlfriend to popular rapper Moneybagg Yo.
According to Hot97 Ari had an interview with the Don’t Call Me A White Girl podcast.
A clip went viral when Ari spoke on what makes her relationship with Moneybagg Yo different from the others.
She said:
“We like [to] hash it out. Like, we don’t have a toxic thing where we like – we like, go talk about it.
Like, ok – I’m mad, this why I’m mad, and this what needs to happen moving forward so this don’t make me mad anymore.
We’re like, real adults [and] it’s weird. I’ve never been like this before.”
“We have not always been like that, I swear. But it’s just not toxic.” She added,“He’s trying to make me grow up.
He makes me feel like, ‘b*tch how old are you? Like, grow the f*ck up!’”
This is the comment that has the Internet on fire.
Ari said (jokingly),
“Like, pull your gun out and show me like, ‘b*tch leave. I wish you would walk out the door.’” She continued, “I’m going to just sit down because I got a son and I’m not trying to die – I got a son. So I’m only staying because I got a son and I don’t want you to shoot me.”
With so many victims of domestic violence, people on social media called Ari out for her insensitive comments on the podcast.
Ari doubled down responding to critics on Instagram telling them nobody cares about their ‘victim’ stories and that most of the people with negative things to say, do not even have a man that would pull a gun out on them.
The Savage X Fenty Contract
Since the controversial statements, social media investigators noticed that Ari was no longer on the SavageXFenty website as an influencer for the brand.
Many claiming, Rihanna pulled her because she herself was a victim of domestic violence.
Oh Ari Fletcher really a hood bitch lmao.
Talk about toxic femininity…
She joking about domestic violence…ranting against DV victims saying nobody cares….
Rihanna dropped her from Fenty….Sheesh…

and
Rihanna snatching Ari Fletcher’s Savage X Fenty sponsorship because Ari told domestic violence victims “we don’t care” is truly the highlight of my day.
Ari literally went on Instagram Live to say she doesn’t care about DV victims’ trauma.
But, guess who does care Ari: Rihanna.— #FreeKeithDavisJr. (@_Rawilcox) January 7, 2022

The ladies of Fox Soul’s “Cocktail Queens” discussed the controversy and most of them thought Rihanna’s decision was the right one.
Lisa Raye called Ari ‘immature’ and said this is the prime difference between a real celebrity and a social media influencer.
Lisa, also thinks Ari should issue a public apology for her words.
