In a recent chat with her followers, Marlo Hampton shared that she recently went through hair transplant surgery.
She told her listeners that she documented the entire thing, and will be posting the full journey on Youtube.
We know that Marlo has some amazing wigs, and in 2020 she shared why she wears read below via BravoTV:
“I love wearing wigs as protective styles so my natural hair can rest, hydrate and grow,” she explained on Instagram.
“This is very important because as a public figure I change my hair often to coordinate with my outfits (as any real fashion girl does) an outfit may call for a certain hair color or cut to pull off the look.
Over-processing and over-styling natural hair causes so much damage so …. I created @her_hair_collection for women like me!!”
“Women who are not ashamed to throw on a luxurious impeccably styled wig and be fabulous, women suffering from health issues and hair loss or women just trying to repair their natural from years or wear and tear,” she continued.
Marlo didn’t specifically mention that she herself was suffering from hair loss at that time, but in the video below she is pretty transparent about it!
She also shares the reason her eyes appear black in the video, which can be normal for most transplant surgery patients.
According to NCBI – Swelling or oedema of forehead or eyelids is a common consequence of hair transplantation surgery, especially 2–6 days after the operation.
In some cases, this oedema is so severe that patient cannot open his/her eyes. In rare cases, it is accompanied with ecchymosis of the eyelids (black eyes).
