Ex-NBA Hooper Matt Barnes is way behind on his child support. A Los Angeles court ordered him to fork over $134,000 in back payments to ex-wife Gloria Govan.
Per legal documents obtained by TMZ, Barnes owes Govan $133, 976.54 in past-due child support payments.
It appears Barnes hasn’t been shelling out child support because this is not the first time the former NBA baller has been taken to court over child support delays. In late 2018, a judge slashed Barne’s monthly child support bill from $20,000 to $7,500. This was when Gloria had custody of his 14-year-old twins, Carter and Isaiah.
Barnes and the “Basketball Wives” star got married in 2013 but divorced two years later.
Then, if you remember, in the fall of 2018, Barnes was granted sole physical and legal custody of their kids – and an 18-month restraining order against Gloria – following an incident in which the reality star was arrested in connection with child endangerment.
In TMZ-obtained court docs, Barnes claimed Gloria put their kids and other children at their school in physical danger and alleged that the twins had been traumatized by their mom’s actions and subsequent arrest.
Charges were ultimately not filed against Gloria, who vehemently denied the accusations.
Then there was the 2015 “NBA player gone wild” story – Barnes purportedly drove 95 miles to go show fellow ex-NBA baller Derke Fisher who’s the boss. Fisher (Gloria Govan’s current husband) was dating Barne’s estranged wife and spending lots of time with their ten six-year-old-twin sons.
