Meek Mill felt the heat from X (formerly Twitter) after asking a seemingly innocent question.
According to TMZ, the Philadelphia-born rapper asked his African fans if they stream their music–and if so, how.
“Do a lot of people play my music in South Africa I remember having on big show [there a] few years back … how do yall listen to our music in South Africa???? On what platform or in Nigeria?”
Users Roasted Meek Mill For His Question

Though the question seems innocent–Meek might not be the most well-versed on other cultures and countries–countless users took offense and took this chance to roast the rapper.
But Mill didn’t let the hate get to him.
The rapper wrote another tweet saying he’s trying to find our where his Africans fans are so he can set up a show for them.
I need to find out what parts they love me the most in Africa https://t.co/8Cjn06hLoH

We don’t have any music streaming services in Nigeria. We have this guy he’s the only one that has access to Spotify, he’s a town crier he comes every Friday to perform your songs for us. This is how we listen to your music.
I hope this helps pic.twitter.com/RxFPUWCXFa

On a good day we climb the mountain to listen to the forest play your music. On days when it’s rainy, we go down the nearest river and a mermaid comes out to sing your songs. We have only one computer here in my village, so it was my turn to tweet. ? will hear from me next year

I don’t know about South Africa and Nigeria, but here in Namibia we take empty bottles to communicate with the ancestors and your music starts playing from the clouds.#MusicWithDME pic.twitter.com/v9peic40BY

Well, it depends on the season. In summer we hear it through the trunk of an elephant. In spring the giraffes catch signal and play it out loud. You get me?
