These mom-daughter entrepreneurs understand the challenges Black women go through.
Natasha Anderson and her daughter Khadija co-founded The Original UnBraider.
They claim the product can easily untangle four to eight braids as you comb your hair.
These Black Mom-Daughter Entrepreneurs Are Solving A Common Issue
Natasha initially created the product in 2004.
She partnered with a friend whose family had a Taiwanese plastic manufacturing company.
Natasha constantly traveled to Taiwan to work directly with the manufacturer.
The result was a magical tool that revolutionized hair care.
Natasha marketed the product across California in mall kiosks, beauty salons, and hair shows.
However, she stopped when her mother passed away from breast cancer.

Fast forward a decade, and her daughter Khadija Imara has taken the reins as the CEO of the newly relaunched product, The Original UnBraider.
And let’s just say, it’s been selling like hotcakes!
Imara’s ingenious marketing tactics involved using TikTok to capture the attention of millions and it worked wonders.
“The response has been amazing and I’ve had an amazing mentor to be able to follow in her footsteps and she provided me a blueprint. It was just about utilizing today’s time and the resources and the tools that we have. And the lesson learned was how to approach with a systematic approach, the social media strategy.”
But that’s not all.
The mom-daughter entrepreneurs envisioned their product to streamline braid removal and uplift the Black community by showcasing Black ownership.
They want The Original UnBraider to be a household name and to increase production to meet soaring global demand.
Because let’s face it: who doesn’t want to look fabulous with minimal effort?
Natasha and Khadija are revolutionizing Black women’s haircare, and their tool is worth every penny.
