The parents of R. Kelly’s girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, are still hoping to make contact with their daughter and pleads with her to come home.
Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage told TMZ that they still haven’t made contact with their daughter despite Kelly being found guilty of federal sex crimes and awaiting sentencing.
They want to let her know that her grandfather passed away and her grandmother from cancer, Complex reported.
“We tried to reach out to Joycelyn when my father passed,” her dad said in a video. “We have to always reach out through [Kelly’s] camp.” He explained that they also had to do the same for the death of Jonjelyn’s mother.
“No response, whatsoever. … Everybody wants to say she’s grown.
Let me hear from a grown woman. I want to hear from my daughter. … I don’t want to hear from no third party. I want to hear exactly from Joycelyn Savage, period.”
“We would like to have a one-on-one discussion with you as a family,” Jonjelyn said. Timothy added, “Listen, Robert is locked up.
All these enablers need to move aside. Joycelyn, I need to see you at that funeral. It’s just that simple.”
In 2019 the Jocelyn told her parents after her interview with Gayle King that she was very happy and ok according to CBS News.
Savage called her family on Wednesday for the first time in years to let them know she’s OK.
Less than an hour before Savage called, the family held a news conference, urging their daughter to contact them.
“I’m just letting you know I need you guys to understand that I’m very happy,” Savage told them on the call.
Azriel Clary has since had a change of heart.
