Styles By Elke, posted a video on Instagram of her take-down process for her micro braids.
The style took three days according to the video and if you watch the process, you will notice that she is simply slipping the braids off her hair.

Her braids were done by Je’Ne Saisquoi, a master braider out of LA who does these styles religiously.
The style appears to be her own signature technique so her recommendation of just slipping them off is shocking.
The first concern I had was, wouldn’t the pulling cause breakage. This method is a game-changer if you can simply slip the braids off after you are done with the style.

We agree with many of her followers who suggested that she should patent her method of braiding because many of us have never seen a take-down quite that easy.
Typically we would have to unravel each braid from the ends to the roots, and it would probably take weeks.
Her take-down method would probably take a day max, if you are just slipping them off like that.
