GloRilla just released her latest mixtape titled “Ehhthang Ehhthang” featuring a bag of artists such as Moneybagg Yo, Boston Richey, and Kevo Muney.
One of the standout tracks, “Wanna Be,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, cleverly samples Soulja Boy’s iconic hit “Pretty Boy Swag” from 2010 and of course to promote the song the women came up with a little challenge.
Megan Thee stallion started things off with her own rendition and after that the twerk challenge swept through social media, with many participants, including a few celebs.

However, not everyone is embracing the challenge; some folks think the challenge diminishes the value of women and their contributions.
One woman, who has gone viral, took her grievances about the challenge to social media.
she said:
“Y’all call it the Megan Thee Stallion challenge but to be honest I think it’s just yet another way for women to devalue themselves,” ….. “Half n*ked women, th*ngs, p*nties, shorts twerk and showing they a** for what. What is y’all doing this for.. likes, attention, validation.. You know what this looks like, it looks classless and tacky as hell.”
“Most of y’all are moms, y’all don’t care what your kids think, y’all don’t care what your kids might look like. Y’all talking about a challenge, challenge yourself to be a better mom, challenge yourself to be a better woman, challenge yourself to be a better sister, a better auntie. Go challenge yourself to read a book.”
“I’m not saying you gotta be a numb baby, I show skin, I’m not a numb. I still have fun with my girls, I still be outside.. do all of that, but it’s never been about what you do, it’s how you do it.”
“Men used to have to go a str*p club to see stuff like this, but now all they gotta do.. the whole world is a stage at this point. No man of high quality, the man that y’all desire, the man that y’all swear y’all want, I promise you, he’s gon treat you nothing like what you want to be treated like, because no man want to see they woman up there or a woman up there that he looking to pursue her in a serious way, shaking her a** 24/7 on the internet like that,”

Opinions on the challenge are split one person made the point that “girls shake buns every day of the week and that “challenge ain’t nothing new,”
“I been on this earth long enough to know woman gonna do whatever the fuck they want lol including this woman delivering the message ain’t nothing nobody gonna say that’s gonna make any of these woman stop twerking if that’s what they wanna do,”

and
I watched her video this morning and it went in one ear and out the other . . How can somebody shaking ass take away from them being a good person, a mom, friend , sister or whatever else she was saying. What if I ain’t on social media looking for a man ? Internet too fake

Lol I most definitely wouldn’t be taking a woman who likes to “shake her ass” serious. Let’s be fr here. Yall like to normalize anything these days and that’s what’s wrong with our generation.
