“I get everything I want because that’s just the way it is…Things are always working out in my favor…I am so lucky… What’s meant for me never misses… I’m always at the right place at the right time… I’m just that lucky girl.”

If you haven’t seen the TikTok girlies chanting these viral affirmations, babe, you must have sworn off social media (side-eyes unlocked), living under a rock (smh…rent prices), or just backed up with work (those Beyoncé tickets won’t land on your doorstep).

Either way, you’ve been missing out on the app’s latest power positive thinking (aka manifestation) trend that everyone’s been using to believe, no claim, great things into their life – The Lucky Girl Syndrome.

In December 2022, popular TikToker Laura Galebe (aka the CEO of the “Memoir Technique) and Sammy K (aka the college girl with a flip phone) popularized the manifestation trend by sharing that it helped them get “the most insane opportunities” thrown their way “out of nowhere.”

So, if this sounds like the type of energy you want to channel or manifest this year, keep scrolling to understand what the Lucky Girl Syndrome is all about and how you can apply it to your life.

What Is The Lucky Girl Syndrome?

Lucky Girl Syndrome is an exclusionary idea that claims luck is simply a state of mind. It’s an affirmation, manifestation, and idea that one can conjure up luck and opportunities into their life through the power of delusional thinking – positive thinking.

And while you might assume that TikTok brought this manifestation method to life, according to experts, the practice is actually just another name for Neville Goddard’s Law of Assumption. In his book, Neville explained the principle saying that whatever one assumes to be true in their life will eventually become true, for better or worse.

For instance, if you believe with your entire being that you’ll get married next year or that doors will open for you in your career, and you take those opportunities when presented to you, there’s an incredible chance you can manifest them into your life. Bonus points if you actively visualize and state those beliefs out loud. It’s really that simple.

“If you visualize being lucky and believe that everything will work out for you, you’ll be on your way to becoming a lucky girl.”

Does It Really Work? If Not, How Do You Make It Work For You?

As mentioned, the Lucky Girl Syndrome manifestation technique might work if you truly believe that what you’re saying out loud will become a reality. And while Galebe recognized in her TikTok post that constantly saying “I’m so lucky” can be viewed as “toxic positivity” or “extremely delusional,” she said it’s actually not. If you just believe at your core that the job is for you, as Galebe did, you’ll get it.

Additionally, you need to back up your words with action – align your behavior with your beliefs, and you’ll be the “luckiest” Queen alive.

Some of the best manifestation methods, including the Lucky Girl Syndrome, also come into fruition when you share your desires with others, Sarah Profitt says. Keep mentioning your goals and desires to your friends, and maybe, just maybe, the Lucky Girl Syndrome will assume that everyone you meet can help you attain your dreams.

If you want the Lucky Girl Syndrome to work for you, you should focus on what you want to bring into your life. What you create in the universe, the physical world starts as thoughts and ideas. Therefore, it’s essential to be clear about what you want to create and ensure that your energy matches that.

When you’re enthusiastic, optimistic, and open to thriving, you have a much better chance of actualizing your desires. Bitterness, doubt, and pessimism only cause blockages.

Another step you can take while practicing the Lucky Girl Syndrome is to “avoid lying to thyself.” While manifesting works (I see you making that face. It really does), you don’t want to say affirmations that don’t feel authentic. Don’t say them when you’re not in the right mood. You’ll be letting your efforts and manifestations go to waste, leading to frustration and self-doubt.

Say your Lucky Girl Syndrome affirmations right after meditating or when your spirits feel elated/uplifted so that your energy matches your words. Also, be sure to focus on aligning yourself with the intention behind your affirmations/words- doing so will help breathe life into your manifestations.

And yes, it might take a while to get into the right headspace to make the Lucky Girl Syndrome manifestation technique work, but you can get there through practice and patience (because consistency is key).

Also, journaling can help bring your dreams and desires into reality. You can also use the 369 method (which involves writing down your affirmations three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, and nine times before bed). A belief is just a thought. But when it’s repeated so many times, it becomes so. So go for it. Write that sh*t down, boo!

@lauragalebe The secret is to assume and believe it before the concrete proof shows up. BE DELUSIONAL. #bedelusional #luckygirlsyndrome #affirmations #lawofassumption #manifestationtiktok #manifestingtok #lawofassumptiontok #manifestation ♬ original sound – Laura Galebe

At the end of the day, the universe has a way of bringing things into your life. So, be gentle with yourself, keep chanting your Lucky Girl Syndrome affirmations, align your behavior/actions with your desires, and you’ll achieve everything you ever dreamed of because you’re the luckiest Queen alive, and you freakin’ deserve it!
