NeNe Leakes isn’t a fan of RHOA in its current state.
In an interview at LAX, Leakes criticized the show’s dropping ratings and believes the producers should make drastic changes like bringing in “fresh blood.”
According to Radar Online, NeNe Leakes thinks relying on the same cast year after year has made the show stale and uninteresting.
Leakes wants a partial reset, unlike what The Real Housewives of New York did.
However, she thinks the producers should replace at least half of the cast.
Despite her criticism, NeNe Leakes believes she can give the show something valuable that will improve its ratings.
However, she’s not that eager for a comeback.
NeNe Leakes Had Beef With The Producers And Cast Member Of RHOA
NeNe Leakes’ relationship with the executives and cast members of RHOA has been tumultuous.
And former RHOA star Kandi Buruss revealed that no original Atlanta cast member had been invited for season 16.
“They still haven’t told everybody who they’re bringing back. Yeah, they’re over here — they’re being real — [they’re] trippin’! People got lives around here. We gotta make plans for other things.”
Sheree Whitfield also revealed the executives hadn’t invited the cast for the latest season.
Consequently, fans got frustrated and went to X to vent.
“Kandi and Kenya are essential to the show. You’re trippin. All the franchise needed was to refresh the cast. It is an ensemble show, after all. Just because you’re disgruntled, don’t watch then, but many of us want the franchise to survive, yes it needs a RHOM-style reboot.”
“I hope that RHOA gets a reboot, last season was so stale. I need them to find Atlanta socialites who are fabulous … I feel like RHOBH has a glamorous factor to it. I also feel like they have arguments, but they’re always able to come back and have fun with each other.”
