Apparently Ray J is man enough to apologize!
Shortly after discussing the possibility of a Monica and Brandy tour, Ray J extended an apology to the Atlanta singer.
During his recent appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, Ray clarified that his intention was not to cause any harm with the tour suggestion.
“Monica, if I said anything wrong I apologize,” he said. “You are a great artist, you and Brandy have made history together, and all I want to do is just kind of like shake it up a little bit to get y’all to see that.”
“But I respect her. If I did or said anything I’m sorry. I was just trying to get your attention,” Ray reaffirmed.
This apology may resolve the tension that arose following Ray’s comments on The Breakfast Club about wanting to organize a Brandy and Monica tour.
However, there were hints of potential controversy when Ray expressed his opinion that his sister should headline the tour.
Monica publicly addressed Ray’s comments, criticizing him for proposing a joint tour without discussing it with her first.
She mentioned receiving inquiries after Ray’s statements.
In his interview with Yee, Ray acknowledged that he hadn’t consulted Brandy about the tour idea; he was merely putting forward the concept.
